Opening an M365 Encrypted Message - Gmail

CLICK ON IMAGES TO EXPAND AND ZOOM
  1. From the web Gmail application, you will see a display message informing you that the message is encrypted.
  2. Click "Read the message"
  3. You will then be prompted to either "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with a One-time passcode". For this example, we will sign in using the One-time passcode.
  4. Click "Sign in with a One-time passcode"

  5. On the next screen, it will prompt you to enter the code.
    2. If a code isn't received check your SPAM or RE-SEND the code (yellow)
  6. View the one-time passcode in your email and Copy/Paste or type the passcode into the text box and click "Continue".


  7. This will open the message so you can view the body and any attachments that go along with the message.
  8. Click "Reply" or "Reply All" to email back and keep all encryption in place with the email thread.

  9. Type your message in the body and click "Send". This will send the message back to the original sender encrypted.
